Judah turned 5 months old a few days ago. And it has been a busy month for this little guy. He finally cut his first little tooth after teething for what seemed like forever and is trying to cut his 2nd tooth. I finally bought him a teething necklace because that last day or 2 of cutting the tooth was rough.
He finally had his 4 month well baby at 5 months and weighted in at almost 16lbs and is 27in long. He's almost as tall as what Curtis was at 1yr old. Judah is trying so hard to crawl. He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth and can scoot forward on the floor, but hasn't quite put it both together yet. I think it will be soon, though, maybe in the next few weeks. He is learning to eat cereal, and loves it most of the time. Usually he cleans the bowl out. I'm hoping he will be my easy to please eater to counter his brother, because Curtis eats absolutely nothing. It's so hard to get food in that kid, but so far, Judah has proven to not be quite so difficult.
He's still waking up once or twice a night, and I expect that to still happen for a while, but I do love it when he at least sleeps till 3 or 4. Those long stretches are so wonderful. And usually, he wakes up happy, which is always great. It just breaks my heart when the babies wake up screaming, but, especially when he's slept good, he'll wake up playing. It helps that I usually keep a little toy within arm distance for him to reach out and get.
For the most part, this kid is incredibly chill. I know I've said this before, but it astonishes me how different babies can be. We are really enjoying watching Judah come into his personality, all the little smiles and giggles. Sometimes he just gets so happy he can't contain himself and nearly will fall out of your arms because he flings himself over from excitement. It is such a joy to watch them both grow up.
Next month, we'll celebrate 2 years for Curtis and Judah's half birthday. It'll be a pretty exciting month!
Trying so hard to get a smile, he just doesn't like smiling for the camera
